Harcourts Caloundra is owned and operated by Luke and Katherine Carter. The couple started the business together in 2008 after a successful career as a sales team with Ray White Caloundra, which saw Luke recognised as their top agent. After achieving an unprecedented 58 property sales with a combined value of just over 20 million in his first year, Luke was awarded the prestigious Ray White Queensland Rookie of the Year Award and was ranked in the top 20 salespeople for The Ray White Network. He also attained Elite Performer status within the Group; something that had never been achieved before by an agent in their first year.
Three years after starting at Ray White, Luke and Katherine went out on their own and started their own business initially under the brand of an industry friend Amber Werchon. Luke had competed against Amber for the top salesperson award on the Sunshine Coast during his time at Ray White.
Two weeks after opening their very own agency in their office at Bulcock Street, the Global Financial Crisis struck and the Sunshine Coast property market went into free fall. It was a real test of the couple’s tenacity and their ability to run and operate a business whilst maintaining enough sales to cover their costs. However, in true fashion, they thrived, and it wasn’t long before they caught the attention of Century 21. The acclaimed company pursued them to rebrand and launch a new Century 21 agency in Caloundra.
Luke and Katherine made the move to rebrand their agency and become Century 21 Caloundra. Within their first year with Century 21 their Caloundra agency was recognised as the top Century 21 agency in Queensland. Not long after this, they also received an award as the top Century 21 agency in Australasia. This was an exceptional achievement, particularly from an office in a regional area competing against inner-city agencies with much higher property values. Overall, it was a testament to the fantastic way that Luke and Katherine ran their business along with their amazing sales results.
After five years under the Century 21 banner, the agency had organically grown one of the largest rental portfolios on the Sunshine Coast. This prompted their move to the Harcourts brand, which had a strong focus on Property Management with a large corporate support team located nearby in Brisbane.
The move to Harcourts was a success, as the team were surrounded by much larger and bigger performing agencies. Having been at the top of the Century 21 Network for five years, they still managed to place their agency into the top ten Harcourts businesses with a respectable number seven agency after their first year within the network.
Since then Luke and Katherine have created a fantastic and well-respected local real estate business under the Harcourts banner. Today, they feel the brand’s ethics and professionalism and family-focused philosophy are a great fit for them.
18 years after their real estate journey started, they have continued to thrive as Harcourts Caloundra and the business has been responsible for more than 1.5 billion dollars of Sunshine Coast property sales including over a thousand homes personally sold by Luke and Katherine.
Luke and Katherine reside locally in Moffat Beach and are deeply passionate about real estate. They are active property investors and have a wealth of property knowledge in all aspects of real estate. Their unmatched sales achievements and extensive knowledge place them among the top property experts in the Caloundra region.

Luke and Katherine live locally in Moffat Beach and continue to be passionate property investors. They have personally bought and sold multiple properties over the years including small development projects, renovations, and new builds.
